Our client, a global technology firm, is seeking two Project Managers to join its team on a one-year contract. The roles offer exposure to new technologies and international markets in a supportive working environment. The successful candidates will lead infrastructure upgrade and decommissioning projects, coordinating technical delivery while managing scope, schedules, risks and stakeholder expectations. The project managers will oversee the following workstreams: Operating system (OS) upgrades: coordinate assessment, compatibility checks, testing, rollout and post-upgrade validation. Server upgrades: manage upgrade planning, dependencies, implementation windows and service validation. Server decommissioning: coordinate dependency checks, migration readiness, shutdown approvals, secure data handling and asset-record updates. Network-device firmware upgrades: coordinate version readiness, change approvals, deployment, rollback preparedness and post-change checks. Define project scope, objectives, asset coverage, dependencies and acceptance criteria with business stakeholders and technical teams. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and resource requirements for OS upgrades, server upgrades, server decommissioning and firmware upgrades. Coordinate infrastructure, network, application, security and operations teams, as applicable, together with vendors and other delivery partners. Maintain risk, issue, dependency and change logs; assess business impacts and escalate blockers or decisions promptly. Coordinate change-control approvals, maintenance windows, outage communications, readiness reviews and tested rollback arrangements with technical owners. Track implementation and testing, coordinate resolution of post-change issues, and obtain acceptance from the relevant technical and business owners. Ensure server decommissioning is supported by dependency checks, migration confirmation, shutdown approval and evidence of secure data handling in line with applicable policies. Report progress, milestone performance, risks and decisions required; maintain delivery records and coordinate operational handover, lessons learned and project closure. Key responsibilities This is a project delivery role. Hands-on technical implementation remains the responsibility of the assigned technical teams, unless separately agreed. Required skills and experience Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects, with relevant exposure to OS upgrades, server upgrades, server decommissioning and network-device firmware upgrades. Strong project planning, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder engagement and reporting skills. Working knowledge of infrastructure dependencies, compatibility assessment, service availability, change control, testing, rollback and operational handover. Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and third-party suppliers. Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical issues into business impacts and decisions. A recognised project management qualification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent, is advantageous. Approved project scope, delivery approach and baseline schedule for the assigned workstreams. Maintained risk, issue, dependency, decision and change logs. Regular status reports covering milestones, progress, upcoming activities and decisions required. Coordinated implementation and decommissioning plans, including approval, testing and rollback requirements. Completion records, acceptance sign-offs, operational handover documentation and closure reports. Key deliverables
