Responsibilities

Project Planning:

Prepares Budget and time schedules for Projects.
Prepares Project Design Drawings, Shop Drawings and "As Built Drawing
Ensure Proper handling of Company Tools and Equipment as well as Maintenance.
Reads and understands Contract Documents

Financial Management:

Monitors and controls allotted Resources for effective, efficient and timely service delivery.
Adheres strictly to Cost Monitoring Procedure.
Liaises with Superior / General Manager to ensure provision of necessary resources for Project Delivery

Project/Site Coordination:

Provides Technical Evaluation of Sub-contractors and commercial inputs.
Attends site meetings with Clients and other Contractors on site.
Ensures compliance with and implementation of Quality Control procedure for all incoming materials.
Delegates authority and ensures subordinates are adequately engaged.
Supervise the Technician and Sub-Contractors on site during Installation.
Ensures cordial relationships with Clients.

Project Reporting:

Ensures regular preparation and submission of project progress reports on agreed format and at agreed time.
Creates effective communication and feedback systems for interfaces

Project Monitoring:

Monitors progress of Projects and resolves all Project matters timely
Measures Performance of Subordinates

Project Implementation:

Manages unforeseen crisis to ensure successful Project execution

Project Design:

Develops and supervise the draughting of Drawings for Specific Projects
Develops Bill of Quantities for Projects from shop drawings and from Consultant / Clients drawings for the purpose of tendering .

Tendering:

Assists in Tendering Processes.
Provide Technical Support to the Proposal and Business Development Team

Job Summary We are seeking a Principal Pipeline Engineer to provide pipeline engineering expertise and support the delivery of the HA and HB-Buko projects, which aim to supply approximately 350-450 MMscf/d of gas to NLNG Train-7 from 2029+, as well as 25-30 kb/d of oil and condensate for export. This role involves providing technical input and assurance throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual and FEED through detailed design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning, while managing all pipeline engineering activities and deliverables for both projects. The position reports to the Engineering Manager, Shallow Water Offshore, and interfaces with project engineers, discipline engineers, contractors, and regulators. Responsibilities Provide specialist skills, integrity, and knowledge in key areas of subsea pipeline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and current good engineering practice. Manage the performance of detailed pipeline engineering activities including wall thickness selection, on-bottom stability analysis, allowable free-span analysis, thermal expansion analysis, bottom roughness analysis, thermo-mechanical design, rigid spool and jumper design, pipeline route selection/optimization, pipeline crossing design, and installation analysis. Undertake responsibility for delivery of full pipeline design scopes on projects through management of junior engineers with minimal supervision. The role ensures that fabrication and welding activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), client requirements, and applicable NDT procedures. Responsibilities NDT Inspection & Testing: Perform NDT examinations in accordance with approved procedures and applicable codes and standards. Conduct NDT examinations using applicable techniques, including: Visual Testing (VT) Dye/Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/LPT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Radiographic Testing (RT), where qualified, authorized and appropriately controlled. Identify, evaluate and classify indications/discontinuities in welds, materials and fabricated components. Verify weld integrity at various stages of fabrication and repair. Carry out examination of butt welds, fillet welds, structural members, piping, pressure vessels, flanges, nozzles and other fabricated items as applicable. Ensure proper preparation and cleanliness of test surfaces before examination. Select appropriate NDT techniques based on material, weld configuration, thickness, accessibility and project requirements. Verify that NDT equipment is suitable, calibrated and fit for use before commencing examination. Interpretation & Evaluation: Interpret NDT results in accordance with approved procedures, acceptance criteria and applicable standards. Evaluate indications against relevant acceptance/rejection criteria. Identify defective or non-conforming welds and components. Recommend repair, re-examination or further investigation where required. Ensure that only qualified and acceptable components proceed to the next stage of fabrication. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare accurate NDT reports, examination records and inspection documentation. Maintain traceability of weld numbers, welder identification, material identification, test locations and NDT results. Ensure all NDT results are properly documented and submitted for QC/client review. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of inspection records. Quality Control & Fabrication Support: Work closely with Welding Inspectors, QC Inspectors, Welding Engineers, Fabrication Supervisors and Project Engineers. Participate in weld inspection and fabrication quality-control activities. Review fabrication drawings, weld maps, procedures and ITP requirements relevant to NDT activities. Confirm that required NDT examinations are performed at the appropriate fabrication stage. Support monitoring of weld repair rates and recurring weld defects. Participate in quality surveillance and inspection activities during fabrication. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where applicable and support corrective actions. Standards & Compliance Ensure NDT activities comply with applicable international codes, standards, and project specifications, such as: ASME, API, AWS, ISO, ASTM, Client/project specifications, Approved NDT procedures, and ITPs. Maintain current knowledge of NDT techniques, standards and industry practices. Ensure NDT activities are conducted within the scope of the individual's certification and authorization. Candiates Profile / Qualification and Background Minimum: OND/HND/B.Sc. in Engineering, Science, Metallurgy, Welding Technology or a related discipline; or relevant technical qualification.
