Programme Analyst – Digital Health Systems & Deployment( Fixed Term Contract) Reporting to the Manager, Foundations Programmes, this role supports the successful development, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of the Uzazi Salama digital health platform by providing technical coordination, vendor oversight, implementation support, and programme delivery assistance. The role serves as the day-to-day link between Safaricom Foundation, implementing partners, county health teams, users, and technology vendors such as Savannah Informatics to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, stakeholder alignment, and operational sustainability. The role is designed to strengthen internal ownership of digital health systems, accelerate issue resolution, improve user adoption, and reduce reliance on external vendors through embedded technical coordination and programme management aligning with the Foundation’s strategy of driving speed, accountability, sustainability, and stronger user-centred solutions. Responsibilities Uzazi Salama Application Development Oversight Serve as the Foundation’s day-to-day focal point for application development activities Monitor performance and delivery of Savannah Informatics and other technology partners against agreed workplans, timelines, and deliverables Review system enhancement requests and coordinate prioritization of features Track progress of software development sprints and implementation milestones Coordinate testing, bug tracking, and issue resolution processes Escalate critical technical issues and implementation risks for management action Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing before system releases Maintain documentation of system changes, releases, and technical decisions County Deployment and Rollout Support Coordinate deployment of the Uzazi Salama platform across existing and new counties Support onboarding of health facilities, county health teams, and Community Health Promoters (CHPs) Coordinate training schedules and user support activities Monitor implementation readiness, rollout progress, and adoption metrics Provide on-site and remote implementation support during deployments Work with county stakeholders to address operational challenges affecting system utilization Support integration of digital workflows within county maternal and child health programmes Technical Coordination and Vendor Management Manage day-to-day engagement with Savannah Informatics and any technical service providers Track vendor performance against SLAs, contracts, and project plans Participate in technical review meetings and document agreed actions Coordinate resolution of system defects, downtime incidents, and user support requests Validate technical reports and implementation updates submitted by vendors Ensure solutions align with programme objectives and health-sector user needs Monitoring, Learning and Reporting Track system usage indicators and adoption trends across counties Monitor platform uptime, defects, user feedback, and issue-resolution timelines Prepare regular implementation progress reports and dashboards Support data-driven decision-making by generating insights from platform performance and utilization data Document lessons learned and implementation best practices Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination Support coordination between Safaricom Foundation, M-Pesa Foundation, implementing partners, county governments, and technology partners Participate in technical and programme review meetings Facilitate communication between business, programme, and technical stakeholders Track implementation commitments and action points General Programme Support Support implementation of broader Health Pillar initiatives Assist in planning, monitoring, and reporting of health programmes Support field visits, stakeholder engagements, and programme launches Contribute to grant implementation tracking and partner performance reviews Health and Safety Uphold the company code of conduct, policies and procedures, ensuring integrity and accountability in every aspect of your work.
