Responsibilties Oversee production from raw-material preparation and weighing through mixing, filling, packaging and transfer of finished products. Ensure products are manufactured according to approved formulations, SOPs and production instructions. Supervise production assistants and ensure proper allocation of tasks. Maintain strict GMP, hygiene, safety and sanitation standards throughout production. Ensure proper line clearance and prevent contamination or product mix-ups. Complete Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), production records and other required documentation accurately. Record and reconcile raw materials, packaging materials, production output and batch yields. Monitor production losses and maintain agreed yield/waste targets. Work with Quality Control to ensure products meet required specifications and report any deviations or quality issues. Operate, clean and perform basic maintenance/troubleshooting on production equipment. Identify and report equipment faults, material shortages and production problems. Ensure production areas and equipment are properly cleaned after each production run. Prepare production reports and recommend improvements to reduce waste, downtime and production errors. Candidate Requirements 2 - 3 years' hands-on experience in cosmetic, personal-care, pharmaceutical, FMCG or related manufacturing, preferably cosmetics. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, HND or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science or a related field. Practical experience manufacturing products such as creams, conditioners, shampoos, oils, or other personal-care products. Good knowledge of GMP, production hygiene, safety and manufacturing procedures. Experience with weighing, mixing, emulsification, heating/cooling, filling and packaging processes. Experience completing batch records, production documentation and material reconciliation. Ability to supervise production staff and troubleshoot basic production or equipment issues. Good numerical, documentation and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Strong attention to detail, reliability and ability to work independently. Must be available to work on scheduled production days, including occasional early starts or extended production days when required. Must live within reasonable commuting distance of the production facility in Lagos, preferably the Lekki - Ajah - Sangotedo axis. This Role Is For You if: You have actually worked on a cosmetic production floor and understand what happens from weighing raw materials to finished products. You are comfortable being hands-on rather than simply supervising from an office. You understand that accurate weighing, documentation, cleaning and reconciliation are just as important as producing the product itself. You are strict about following formulations and SOPs. You notice when something is wrong and take action instead of waiting to be told. You can manage a production team effectively on production days. You understand GMP and take hygiene and contamination prevention seriously. You can complete production documentation properly without being chased. You are reliable and can commit to scheduled production days. You take responsibility for the quality and efficiency of your production work. This Role Is Not For You If: You have only theoretical knowledge of cosmetic manufacturing but little or no hands-on production experience. You are primarily interested in laboratory or research work rather than manufacturing. You are careless with measurements, records or production procedures. You need constant supervision to complete assigned work. You are unwilling to work on-site on scheduled production days. You do not take GMP, hygiene, safety or documentation seriously. You are uncomfortable supervising production workers. You routinely ignore SOPs or make undocumented changes to formulations or production processes.
