Summary
This role requires meticulous attention to detail and advanced Excel skills to effectively plan and manage production activities, ensuring efficient operations and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Create and continuously revise production schedules based on customer orders, adjusting plans proactively to meet shifting demands.
Work closely with the sales team to gain a full understanding of order details, timelines, and delivery requirements.
Oversee and balance inventory levels of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Distribute resources effectively, including personnel, machinery, and materials, to achieve optimal productivity.
Leverage data and performance metrics to fine-tune production operations and drive process improvements.
Ensure clear communication of production schedules across all departments to promote coordination and timely execution.
Supervise production activities to ensure compliance with schedules, quality standards, and output goals.
Identify and resolve production issues swiftly, collaborating with relevant departments to minimize downtime.
Keep precise and up-to-date records of production operations, inventory movements, and order completion.
Prepare and deliver detailed production performance reports, emphasizing key indicators such as efficiency, throughput, and delivery reliability.
Implement and uphold best practices in production planning, workflow optimization, and inventory control.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Production Planning, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of proven experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage production schedules based on customer orders, machine capacity, and material availability.
Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory analysis, and stock optimization techniques.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, production tracking, and reporting.
Experience using ERP systems for production planning and inventory control.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in demand, minimizing downtime and operational delays.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
