Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Summary
Responsible for sourcing and purchasing pharmaceutical raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), packaging materials, equipment, and other operational supplies while ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, quality compliance, and uninterrupted production.
Key Job Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favourable terms.
Process purchase requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
Procure raw materials, packaging materials, production consumables, and equipment according to production needs.
Ensure suppliers meet company quality standards, GMP requirements, and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure timely material availability.
Monitor inventory levels, delivery schedules, supplier performance, and outstanding orders.
Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic procurement reports.
Control procurement costs and ensure compliance with approved budgets and internal policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Procurement, Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of GMP, supplier qualification, and pharmaceutical quality documentation.
Strong negotiation, analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
