Procurement And Contracts Officer

Job Description

• We are seeking a Procurement & Contracts Officer to support our Margarine Manufacturing Plant Project in Ibadan.
• The successful candidate will manage project procurement, equipment and materials sourcing, delivery expediting, logistics coordination and contract administration. The role will subsequently continue within the operations procurement team.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare RFQs, coordinate technical and commercial bid evaluations, negotiate supplier terms and prepare purchase orders and contracts.
• Source process machinery, packaging machines, utility equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and construction materials.
• Track vendor manufacturing, inspections, factory acceptance testing, shipment and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, transporters and project teams.
• Monitor contractual obligations and manage variations, claims, amendments and commercial correspondence.
• Maintain procurement trackers and contract registers and support final-account settlement and contract close-out.

Requirements

• Degree/HND in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant procurement and contracts experience, preferably within industrial or manufacturing projects.
• Demonstrable experience procuring technical equipment and administering contracts.
• Strong negotiation, commercial evaluation, documentation and coordination skills.
• Professional procurement certification is an advantage.
