We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children aged 3 to 5 can explore, learn, and grow emotionally, socially, and academically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based lesson plans that cover early literacy, basic math concepts, arts and crafts, music, and motor skills.
  • Classroom Management: Establish clear, gentle guidelines for behavior to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Child Development & Assessment: Observe and track each child's developmental milestones, social interactions, and learning progress.
  • Safety & Care: Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety, ensuring all safety and regulatory guidelines are strictly followed.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Partner with parents and guardians through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and daily check-ins regarding their child's progress and well-being.
  • Social-Emotional Learning: Guide children in developing self-regulation, empathy, sharing, and problem-solving skills through cooperative play and group activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or CDA Credential).
  • Experience: Minimum of [1 - 2 years] of experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed daycare or classroom setting.

Certifications:

  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Child Care Background Clearance.

Skills:

  • Exceptional patience, creativity, and energy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt activities to support diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs and participate in active play (bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor).

A positive attitude and genuine passion for nurturing young children. A minimum of 3 years' experience teaching children aged 2 - 5 years in a structured early years setting. Demonstrable experience planning, implementing, and evaluating engaging learning activities aligned with an EYFS curriculum. Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills. Exceptional patience, emotional intelligence, listening skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in basic computer applications for lesson planning, documentation, and communication. Current first aid and child safeguarding training is an added advantage.
