About the Role

  • The Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the firm.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that PLP's people, processes, resources, and internal systems operate efficiently and to the professional standards expected of a leading law firm.
  • This role requires an organised, proactive, and commercially minded professional who can effectively coordinate people and processes while supporting the firm's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the firm.
  • Coordinate internal workflows, meetings, schedules, and key firm activities.
  • Develop and maintain effective administrative processes and systems.
  • Coordinate the activities of teams and practice groups where required.
  • Monitor staff performance, productivity, attendance, and deliverables.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff development.
  • Manage office resources, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate internal records and documentation.
  • Support client relationship management and service delivery.
  • Assist the firm's leadership with strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinate firm events, programmes, partnerships, and institutional engagements.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide management with relevant insights.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend practical improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to the firm's internal policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in practice management, operations, administration, or a similar role.
  • Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital productivity tools.
  • Ability to manage people, processes, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
