Report To: Operations Manager/Site Supervisor

Salary: N350,000

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

  • Supervise or execute fuel pipework interface to the dispensing island.
  • Connect product lines and vapour recovery systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Install, route, align, joint, and fit fuel and related pipework.
  • Perform pressure testing, leak testing, flushing, and inspection of pipework as required.
  • Identify and rectify leaks, faulty connections, alignment issues, and other piping defects.
  • Coordinate with the station MEP contractor to ensure proper integration of fuel piping with other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, piping layouts, specifications, and installation plans.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover of fuel piping systems.
  • Report technical challenges, defects, material requirements, and safety concerns to the Operations Manager/Site Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of pipework installation, testing, modifications, and inspection activities.
  • Document and update pipework as-built information to reflect the final installation.
  • Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of tools, equipment, fittings, and materials.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians, contractors, and site personnel to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager/Site Supervisor.

Requirement

  • Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. OND, Technical Diploma, equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Pipe Fitting,
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in piping, plumbing, pipe fitting, or industrial fluid systems.
  • Practical experience in fuel piping, petroleum product lines, vapour recovery systems, or related systems is required.
  • Experience working with MEP contractors and on-site construction or engineering teams is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, piping layouts, and specifications.
