Major / Primary Responsibilities
Structural design, analysis, calculations, and technical support for data centers and related buildings
Design and verification of reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, foundations, and related elements
Develop structural schemes, perform calculations, and prepare construction drawings based on architectural layouts and MEP requirements
Perform structural load analysis (equipment, floor, suspended, wind, seismic, and other loads)
Design steel systems (frames, columns, beams, bracing, connections)
Design foundations (isolated footings, strip, raft, equipment foundations)
Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines to resolve design and construction issues
Provide technical support during construction (design changes, clarifications, site support)
Prepare/review design documents, calculation reports, drawings, specifications, and deliverables
Clarify LLD, BoQ, and responsibility matrix to subcontractors
Support project management (subcontractor selection, supply chain, procurement, process management, acceptance)
Lead civil work implementation onsite; manage relationships with customers and consultants
Finalize civil work SOPs and check subcontractor installation quality
Coordinate teams and manage project implementation plans, catching up on delaysOther Competencies / Attributes

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering (Structural and Civil) – nonnegotiable
Minimum 6 years’ experience in structural/civil engineering (medium to largescale projects; data centers/mission critical/industrial preferred)
Minimum 3 largescale civil work implementation experiences
Certificate of Registered Professional Engineer preferred
Indepth knowledge of building components (including drainage systems)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory), Tekla Structures/SAP2000/ETABS (mandatory), Revit/BIM preferred
Vendor and consultant management skills
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards in Kenya/Africa; international project experience advantageous
Strong communication, attention to detail, and high quality standards
Ability to manage multiple fastpaced projects simultaneously
