Job Summary
The Plant Performance Analyst will analyse plant performance to identify efficiency gaps, enhance reliability, and provide technical support that optimizes operations and minimizes energy losses.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor daily plant operations and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency and reliability.
Collect, analyse, and interpret performance data from generating units and major equipment.
Identify performance gaps or abnormal trends and escalate findings for corrective action.
Assist in conducting performance tests and preparing technical reports for management review.
Support Performance engineers in troubleshooting plant performance issues and implementing improvement measures.
Help develop performance dashboards and data summaries to support decision-making.
Participate in energy and resource consumption analysis to promote cost and efficiency optimization
Maintain performance records and ensure accuracy of plant operation data.
Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure targets are achieved.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by learning and applying plant performance analysis tools and techniques.
Implement data protection policies and practices of Egbin Power Plc.
Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other data protection laws, and data protection policies.
Undertake a Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical, Production, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
COREN Certified will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Steam Power Plants operations, of which at least 2 years in an equivalent position.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of operations of steam turbine power plant and its generation components; turbine, boilers, heat exchangers and process flow, etc.
Knowledge of calculating power plant indices.
Knowledge of key machine performance characteristics.
Competence to identify, measure and improve performance on key operating parameters of the operations of the power plant.
Ability to identify impending problems and take preventive measures.
Knowledge of power plant chemistry.
Knowledge of safety, environment, OHSAS and other statutory norms.
