We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications while providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients.
Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely in accordance with approved prescriptions and professional standards.
Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
Provide patients with appropriate information and counselling on the use, dosage, and possible side effects of medications.
Monitor medication therapy and identify potential medication-related problems.
Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and pharmaceutical interventions.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of medicines and other pharmaceutical products.
Monitor medication expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, professional, and organisational standards.
Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and other pharmacy-related activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Pharmacy or Management.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognised institution.
Must be duly registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Possession of a current practicing licence is required.
Experience:
1 - 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
Experience in medication dispensing, patient counselling, inventory management, and clinical pharmacy practice is an added advantage.

Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, where required.
Candidates must be willing to work in Benin City, Edo State.
Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant pharmacy/hospital management systems.
