Petroleum Technologist Iii - 5 Posts At Public Service Commission Kenya (psck)

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Diploma in the following disciplines: Petroleum Geoscience, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Technology( Technical & Applied Physics), Earth Science, Petroleum Operations or Cartography & GIS from a university recognized in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-

• participating in collection and compilation of petroleum data;
• participating in updating petroleum and technical databases;
• participating in labeling and sample preparation for analytical work; and
• undertaking analysis on rock, water, oil and gas;
• participating in petroleum geoscientific field surveys; and
• assisting in maintenance of laboratory and survey equipment for geoscientific petroleum activities.
