Paper Bag Making Machine Operator At The Paper Packaging Company

• The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating automatic/semi-automatic paper bag machines and a strong eye for quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor paper bag making machines for daily production runs
• Adjust machine settings (paper feed, gluing, folding, cutting) to match job specifications
• Monitor bag quality throughout the run checking seams, folds, glue bonds, and dimensions Identify and correct machine faults quickly to minimize downtime and waste Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
• Maintain accurate production records (run counts, waste, downtime)
• Ensure finished bags meet count accuracy and quality standards before packing
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating paper bag making machines (automatic or semi-automatic)
• Understanding of kraft paper and FBB material handling
• Technically inclined, able to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
• Attention to detail with a focus on reducing waste and reprints
• Ability to read job specs and work to production targets Prior experience in a packaging/converting environment preferred
• Willingness to work shifts as required
