Job Overview:
The P&C Design and Change Management Specialist ensures that P&C transformation initiatives Workday enhancements, process redesigns, and digital rollouts are genuinely adopted across IRC's global workforce, not just technically delivered. This role owns the people-readiness side of transformation: understanding who's affected, how ready they are, what could go wrong, and how to address it before it does.
Working closely with the Training & Learning Delivery Specialist, Business Analysts, and P&C Partners, this role designs the change management approach for every initiative and embeds it from day one from stakeholder impact assessments through go-live readiness and post-launch adoption tracking. The findings from this role directly feed the training design work led by the Training & Learning Delivery Specialist, ensuring training is built on a real understanding of who needs what.
Major Responsibilities:
Change Management
Design and execute structured change management plans and approaches for assigned P&C transformation initiatives, applying recognized methodologies such as ADKAR or Prosci, using templates and planning tools needed to do this consistently across projects
Design and conduct stakeholder impact assessments at the start of every initiative, using a repeatable approach that captures affected populations, scale of change, adoption risks, and readiness gaps
Develop stakeholder engagement plans for each initiative, determining the right messages, channels, and timing for each audience
Build and execute communication plans for transformation initiatives, drafting audience-appropriate content in coordination with the Transformation & Digital Delivery Manager and relevant P&C teams
Identify and proactively manage change resistance, developing approaches to address blockers and escalating significant risks with clear recommendations
Establish change readiness checkpoints ahead of go-live, using tools and criteria to assess whether affected teams are prepared before launch
Define and track adoption readiness metrics, identifying where adoption is lagging and recommending targeted interventions
Identify and document change risks as part of regular project governance, with clear recommendations
Partnership & Knowledge Management
Partner closely with the Training & Learning Delivery Specialist to ensure stakeholder impact assessments and readiness findings directly inform training design and sequencing
Document change approaches, decisions, and lessons learned, contributing to the team's shared knowledge base
Conduct post-implementation reviews on change effectiveness for every major initiative
Stay current on change management best practices and organizational readiness approaches
Job Requirements:
Work Experience
3 - 5 years of experience in change management or P&C/HR transformation roles
Demonstrated experience executing structured change management on P&C technology or business transformation projects
Experience using or adapting change management tools, templates, or frameworks
Solid working knowledge of Workday from an end-user or project delivery perspective is a strong advantage
Change management certification (Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent) is an advantage
Experience in a complex, matrixed organization preferred
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
Solid working knowledge of change management methodologies (ADKAR, Prosci, or equivalent), applied practically
Clear and adaptable communicator across audiences, from frontline users to senior stakeholders
Data-aware: able to define readiness and adoption metrics, interpret findings, and recommend action
Skilled at identifying and addressing resistance and readiness gaps
Comfortable executing established methodology with precision and consistency, while identifying gaps or improvements to flag upward
