About the Role

We're looking for researchers to document the oral history of villages in the Imerienwe area, including their founding, kindreds and family lineages. Each researcher will be assigned one village and kindred. Details will be shared with successful candidates.

The work:

gathering and recording oral history, and producing a written lineage chart with a short summary. Further phases may follow.

Requirements:

fluent Igbo (Owerri dialect preferred) and English, based near Owerri, able to travel within Ngor Okpala, respectful with elders, and a smartphone for recording.

Contract:

1 week per assignment. ₦250,000, plus ₦100,000 for logistics.
