Operations Officer (grocery Box)

Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced Operation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Grocery Box.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory, procurement, suppliers, order fulfilment, logistics and ensuring efficient delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of Grocery Box.
• Oversee procurement, stock availability, inventory management and replenishment.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, wholesalers and FMCG distributors.
• Monitor product movement, expiry dates, damages, wastage and stock levels.
• Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, packaged and dispatched on time.
• Coordinate delivery operations and monitor delivery performance.
• Monitor product pricing, operational costs and margins.
• Develop and implement efficient processes for procurement, inventory and order fulfilment.
• Identify and resolve operational issues that may affect customer service or profitability.
• Supervise operations staff and logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare regular performance reports.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food products.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in FMCG, retail, grocery, e-commerce or distribution operations.
• Practical experience in inventory, procurement, supplier and logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of Foodstuffs and distribution processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant digital tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience in online grocery or e-commerce operations is an added advantage.
