Operations Auditor At Smart Partners

Job Summary

• The Operations Auditor will evaluate the effectiveness, compliance, and efficiency of operational processes across outlets and business units.
• The role will identify operational risks, control gaps, irregularities, and opportunities for improvement while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and surprise audits of operational activities, outlets, inventory, cash handling, and documentation.
• Review compliance with company policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Verify sales records, stock movements, expenses, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, fraud risks, and operational irregularities.
• Prepare clear audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
• Follow up on implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
• Monitor operational performance and identify areas for efficiency improvement.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Store/Outlet teams, and Management during audits.
• Maintain accurate audit working papers and documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3 - 5years' experience in operations audit, internal audit, compliance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, inventory, cash management, and operational procedures.
• Good analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant reporting tools.
• Experience in the food, hospitality, retail, or FMCG industry is an added advantage.
