Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement plans in coordination with departmental heads.

Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality products.

Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with approved budgets and procurement policies.

Maintain an updated and prequalified supplier database.

Ensure proper documentation and filing of procurement records for audit and compliance.

Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Coordinate with finance for invoice verification and payment processing.

Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and statutory requirements.

Conduct regular market surveys and benchmarking to ensure value for money.

Manage inventory levels with stores to prevent stockouts and overstocking.

Participate in tendering processes and evaluation committees where required.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.Requirements

Requirements

Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.

Membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

High level of integrity and understanding of procurement ethics.
