JOB PURPOSE: The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of activities at the Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) site. This includes requesting, receiving, and distributing nutrition supplies according to daily needs; maintaining accurate records of quantities received and utilized and compiling daily reports on stock movements and the number of malnourished children attending the OTP to receive treatment. The incumbent will also support the Medical Activity Manager in preparing technical weekly and monthly programme reports including key indicators such as total admissions, default rates, deaths, recovery rates, and other relevant OTP performance data. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for nutrition supplies for the Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) based on the number of children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) enrolled in the programme. Prepare monthly supply requests and submit them to the relevant Medical Activity Manager for validation and approval. Follow up with the logistics team on shipment status to ensure supplies arrive before existing stock is depleted. Coordinate closely with warehouse staff to ensure nutrition supplies are dispatched to the assigned OTP site daily in accordance with approved requests. Verify that all nutrition supplies received at the OTP are within their expiry dates and suitable for distribution. Ensure that patients receive ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) with at least 14 days remaining before expiry. Work closely with OTP nurses to compile daily reports on programme performance including new admissions, total attendance, defaulters, recovery rates, deaths and other relevant indicators. Ensure that the quantity of RUTF distributed each day corresponds to the number of patients who attended the OTP and their prescribed ration. Collect empty RUTF sachets from caregivers for supplies issued 7–14 days earlier. Verify that the batch numbers on returned sachets correspond with the batch numbers of the RUTF distributed during the previous visit. Record all empty sachets collected in the daily reporting template. Immediately report any discrepancies, missing sachets, or inconsistencies in batch numbers to the Medical Activity Manager. Support the Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) focal person with daily reporting on the number of IYCF sessions conducted and other relevant programme information. At the end of each month, compile, finalize, and submit the OTP monthly report to the Medical Activity Manager for review and feedback. Ensure that all Community Nutrition Volunteers (CNVs) develop weekly work plans outlining proposed outreach activities and conduct field visits in accordance with these pre-approved plans. Ensure that CNVs perform mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) screening for all children under 59 months of age and record the results daily in the approved reporting template. Compile nutrition data received from all CNVs on a daily basis and submit a consolidated monthly report to the Medical Activity Manager. Organize training sessions for CNVs on the community-based management of acute malnutrition and reporting requirements, in consultation with the line manager. Ensure that Community Health Volunteers and OTP staff maintain adequate stocks of Health Management Information System (HMIS) tools, including registers, tally sheets, OTP cards, and other required reporting materials. Assess monthly and annual requirements for HMIS tools and submit timely requests to the Medical Activity Manager to facilitate printing or procurement from the State Ministry of Health (SMOH), ensuring uninterrupted availability at OTP and community level. Any other responsibility assigned by the respective line manager. Education & Professional Requirements: Education: Diploma/Certificate in CHEW, bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 2 years’ professional experience as Nutrition Assistant and previous experience in other NGO’s Professional requirements: At least 6 months of previous work experience in a data-management role in NGO Able to learn and use software used for recording Essential computer literacy (word, excel) Personal requirements: Sound knowledge on nutrition protocols Prior experience in an INGO is required. Fluency in spoken and written English andHausa (Mandatory) Analytical and reporting skills Respect and adherence to protection principles Capacity to work under pressure, flexibility Work within the framework of IINTERSOS Nigeria’s core values.
