The Nutrition and Health Coordinator (ALIGN Programme) provides day-to-day technical coordination and implementation support for the ALIGN programme across West and Central Africa. The role supports country teams, consortium partners, civil society organizations and youth-led organizations to strengthen adolescent health and nutrition outcomes through evidence-based, community-led approaches. The Technical Coordinator also contributes to capacity strengthening, knowledge generation, policy engagement, and the promotion of learning and innovation across the programme.
In this role, he/she will:
Coordinate technical inputs related to adolescent health and nutrition, civil society engagement, and evidence-based programming.
Support the design, rollout, and implementation of health, nutrition, WASH, food security, and resilience interventions.
Contribute to capacity assessments and capacity-strengthening initiatives for civil society and youth-led organizations.
Support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and the use of evidence to improve programme performance and adaptive management.
Lead the development and dissemination of knowledge products, lessons learned, and best practices.
Facilitate the translation of programme evidence into policy-relevant recommendations and advocacy products.
Engage with ministries, technical working groups, and relevant regional and global platforms to promote the uptake of programme learning.
Coordinate with country teams, consortium members, and technical stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
Support quality assurance processes and compliance with donor requirements and technical standards.
Promote cross-sector integration and contribute to strengthening sustainable, community-driven approaches to adolescent health and nutrition.

Coordinate collaboration among country teams, partners, and programme stakeholders.
Do you match the profile we are looking for?
Knowledge on Public Health, Nutrition, International Development, Humanitarian Action, or a related field.
At least, 3 years of experience in technical programme coordination, partnership management, and capacity strengthening within multi-country or regional programmes.
Strong knowledge of adolescent health and nutrition, community-based approaches, monitoring, learning, evidence generation, and policy engagement.
Excellent coordination, communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills, with full professional proficiency in English; French is a strong asset.
Our compensation package
We offer immediate integration into a dynamic international organization under the following contractual conditions:
12-month employment contract, with the possibility of renewal.
Duty station: Dakar, Senegal.
Salary: Grade V3 (according to Action Against Hunger’s salary scale and the candidate’s experience).
Duty Station Status: Non-accompanied.
Insurance Coverage: Health, Life, Repatriation, and Travel insurance.
Annual Leave: Round-trip airfare provided.
R&R / Break: Every 4 months, in addition to a contribution toward airfare within the designated zone and a break per diem.
Accommodation: Covered by the organization through a housing allowance.
