Nursing Officer Iii (psychiatric)

Job Description

• Delivers specialized mental health and psychiatric nursing care.
• Conduct initial mental health screenings and risk assessments.
• Respond to acute psychiatric or emotional crises.
• Administer prescribed psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with counselors and off-site mental health providers.
• Sensitize students, faculty and staff on mental health awareness.
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records.

Requirements

• Higher National Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health and Psychiatry or equivalent).
• Valid registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• At least five (5) years relevant work experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Knowledge of ICT.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
