Trivane News is looking for a confident, credible and engaging News Presenter & Video Journalist to become the official Face of Trivane News.
Trivane News is an independent, digital-first newsroom committed to accurate, impartial and credible journalism across Africa, UK Affairs, the Diaspora and World News.
Our journalism puts facts before frenzy and aims to make important stories clear, accessible and relevant to audiences wherever they are.
Applications are open to suitably qualified candidates in Nigeria and internationally.
The successful candidate will work remotely and should have access to a suitable video recording device capable of producing clear video and audio.
- 5 days per week
- The presenter will typically deliver 2 - 4 approved news stories per working day, depending on the news cycle and production requirements.
- Stories and scripts will be prepared or approved through Trivane's editorial process before publication.
- Monthly salary package: 140,000
- Performance will be reviewed after the initial three-month period.
- Present news bulletins, explainers and breaking-news updates clearly and professionally.
- Deliver approved scripts naturally and confidently.
- Explain complex stories in clear, simple English.
- Record presenter segments, voiceovers and short-form news videos.
- Present major stories across Africa, UK Affairs, the Diaspora, World News, business, politics, health, entertainment and sport.
- Present and discuss major football and other relevant sports stories confidently.
- Carry out basic video editing where required.
- Work closely with Trivane's editorial and media teams.
- Maintain accuracy, impartiality, professionalism and deadlines.
- Represent the Trivane News brand professionally across approved digital platforms.
- Excellent spoken English and clear pronunciation.
- Strong, natural and confident on-screen presence.
- Good knowledge of current affairs, particularly Africa, UK Affairs and the Diaspora.
- Basic understanding of journalism, fact-checking, accuracy and impartiality.
- Basic practical video-editing and content-production skills using tools such as CapCut, VN, Canva or similar applications.
- Reliable internet access.
- A quiet, clean and professional recording environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively, follow editorial direction and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in journalism, broadcasting, digital media, content creation or presenting is an advantage.
Exceptional applicants without formal media experience are also encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate strong communication, confidence and basic video-production ability.
