Job Summary
Support the development, implementation and coordination of environmental health and safety programmes, public health initiatives and workplace safety interventions.
Ensure compliance with environmental health standards, promote community health awareness and coordinate public health interventions in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement public health research policies, guidelines, strategies and standards.
Design and maintain tools such as screening instruments, laboratory records and vital information systems to support public health research activities.
Coordinate identification and assessment of environmental health issues at the community level.
Facilitate mobilization, awareness campaigns and sensitization programmes on environmental health matters.
Coordinate implementation of public health interventions within communities.
Monitor public health programmes and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness and impact.
Support health and safety compliance initiatives and environmental risk mitigation measures.
Prepare reports, records and documentation related to public health and safety activities.Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health Science, Public Health Inspection or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate of Competence from the Association of Public Health Officers.
Proficiency in computer applications.Experience
Experience
Minimum cumulative service period of six (6) years of (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});relevant work experience.
At least three (3) years of experience at the level of Health and Safety Officer I or in a comparable position.Key Competencies
