Job Overview

Help Early Years and Primary pupils discover music and fine art through engaging, hands-on lessons. This part-time, on-site role brings both subjects together, helping children build practical skills and share their work through performances and art displays. You'll join colleagues who work with trust and support in a christian school.

Responsibilities

• Teach age-appropriate music and fine art lessons to Early Years and Primary pupils.
• Guide hands-on activities that build pupils' creative and practical skills.
• Keep young pupils safe, settled and engaged during lessons.
• Check pupils' understanding of basic music concepts.
• Prepare pupils for a performance and an art display.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience
• Music teaching
• Fine art teaching
• Age-appropriate lesson delivery
• Safe management of young pupils
• At least one year of teaching experience
• Hands-on music instruction for Early Years and Primary pupils
• Hands-on fine art instruction for Early Years and Primary pupils
• Safe classroom management during creative activities
• Teaching experience of at least one year
• Checking pupils' understanding and creative progress
• Preparing pupil performances and art displays

Preferred Qualifications

• NCE or B.Ed in a relevant field
• School performance or exhibition experience
