Job Description

  • Ensure that all material, tools and metering equipment are certified before any mobilization on Site.
  • Assist the Head of Metering in updating the metering manuals describing the COMPANY technical & fiscal metering equipment as well as related operating procedures.
  • Write/Update the Metering procedures achieved during the metering PM activities and attach all documentation in UNISUP.
  • Ensure that periodical meter proving exercise at our LACT points as well as the prover loop calibrations are carried out as provided for by the regulations governing operations of such facilities (DPR regulations).
  • Provide/Update if needed the flow rate equation formulae to be entered on the DCS after validation by the Head of Metering.
  • Assure the integrity of well test, gas lift, gas injection, fuel gas and water injection metering and propose improvements where necessary.
  • Achieve flow verification campaign with a portable Ultrasonic clamp-on on a regular basis and any time inconsistencies are reported.
  • Communicate effectively with the well performance team/ GSR on the reliability of well test measurement on the test separators and/or multi-phase flow metering unit(s) (BS&W, GOR, density measurement as used in water content determination or Net Oil
  • Follow-up the spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies and initiate suitable action to prevent shortage.
  • Review the requests for materials, defines the technical specifications for purchase.
  • Define the material stock levels and reviews stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimize the stock value, whilst ensuring that all spare parts are available for routine, defect and shutdown maintenance.
  • Coordinate, according to the instructions received from hierarchy, his activities with the rest of the COMPANY Maintenance Methods and planning engineers based in Port Harcourt.
  • Participate in the 5 weeks look ahead planning preparation and validates & follows scheduled actions.
  • Prepares SOW for any METERING activity to be done by an external contractor
  • Responsible for all METERING activities including projects being carried out by an external contractor.
  • Ensures the right BOM structure and Functional Location is maintained for the METERING systems
  • Performs other METERING functions as may be assigned by the HEAD OF METERING.
  • Ensure and promote the application of the Company HSE rules and specifications
  • Ensure that contractors always comply with safety rules, taking actions as required in case of disregards of the rules, stopping the works if they are deemed unsafe, and organizing tool-box meetings and recovery plans
  • Promote safety culture within Company personnel and contractors as well as the reporting of anomalies
  • Ensure and monitor the safety of personnel and installations as well as protection of the environment.
  • Pursue within his team the HSE objectives defined by his line management.

Qualifications

The ideal profile will have:

  • Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. /B.Eng. in related Engineering with 3-5 years' experience in an Engineering or related Organization in a similar design position.
  • Working knowledge of ISA Codes, IEC Standards, and other international standards such as AGA, API. Knowledge of AutoCAD and PDMS is an advantage.

Job Requirements B.Sc./B.Eng. in Engineering or a related discipline. 3 - 5 years' experience in metering, engineering, maintenance or a similar technical role. Working knowledge of ISA, IEC, AGA and API standards. Knowledge of AutoCAD and PDMS is an advantage. Experience with metering systems, calibration, maintenance and regulatory compliance.
