Job Title: Merchandiser / Brand Ambassador
Locations: Yola - Adamawa, Maiduguri - Borno, Kaduna, and Kano Employment Type: Contract (3 Months)
Job Summary
The Merchandiser acts as the frontline brand representative across assigned Modern Trade retail outlets. The role is responsible for executing flawless in-store visibility, driving stock availability, enforcing planograms, and providing real-time inventory and out-of-stock (OOS) alerts via our mobile Sales Force Automation (SFA) platform.
Key Responsibilities
Execute daily merchandising routines adhering strictly to FIFO, proper shelf arrangement, product facing, and cleanliness standards.
Install and maintain brand Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM), including shelf-edge strips and two-faced shelf projection posters.
Monitor stock levels daily, prevent out-of-stock situations, and transmit OOS alerts and re-order requests via the mobile app.
Ensure 100% compliance with recommended retail pricing (RRP) and planogram display standards.
Build positive relationships with store managers, drive active sales conversations, and capture daily activity reports with photo evidence.
Core Requirements & Competencies
Minimum of SSCE / WASSCE.
Mandatory: Fluent spoken English combined with fluency in Hausa and relevant local languages across the deployment hubs.
Basic smartphone literacy for mobile reporting, geofencing check-ins, and app-based stock alerts.
Prior field merchandising, retail sales, or FMCG brand activation experience is an added advantage.
