Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our factory operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of factory machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain and service motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, shafts, pumps, conveyors, mixers, and other production equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect machinery and identify potential equipment failures.
  • Support installation, alignment, commissioning, and modification of machines.
  • Supervise technicians, artisans, and external maintenance contractors where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and downtime.
  • Recommend solutions to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and equipment lifespan.
  • Ensure compliance with factory safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Qualification: B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3 - 4 years of experience, preferably in food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Strong practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical components, pneumatic systems, pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and chains.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must be hands-on, proactive, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced factory environment.
