Purpose

  • To ensure that all routine maintenance/planned preventive maintenance jobs on machines are carried out strictly and timely

The Job

  • Maintain smooth running of all valves, pressure gauges, electric motors and pumps.
  • Carry out routine lubrication plan of all pumps, gear boxes, coupling etc.
  • Report daily activities to the line manager and shift coordinator to achieve smooth running of all machines and equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to safe work procedures during repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Carry out daily, periodic checks on all pumps, bolts and nuts to avoid misalignment of moving parts.
  • Attend to any unusual condition of all moving parts such as conveyors to solve the problem on time before degenerating.
  • Ensure the safety of self and others in the line of work
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
  • Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process
  • Understand the company's food safety policy, its objective, and the benefits of an improved food safety management system.
  • Be aware of identified food safety risks, opportunities, and consequences inherent in the departmental/work processes concerning FSMS requirements

The Person Must Have:

  • Be organised and able to manage materials efficiently
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Possess good communication and teamwork skills
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • Trade Test 1, 2 and 3

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years' cognate experience in mechanical maintenance preferably in a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment
