Role Overview

  • We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to lead our team in overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of mechanical systems within our facilities.
  • This role is critical in ensuring that our machinery operates at peak performance, thus supporting our mission of delivering high-quality products while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of mechanical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assist in the design and implementation of mechanical modifications and upgrades.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and oversee procurement of necessary tools and parts.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical without supervision or a similar role, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Exprience in water production line
  • Must have exprience in related issue withblowing machine, labelling machine e.t.c

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and tools.
  • Certifications in relevant mechanical systems or maintenance practices.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies:

  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
  • Familiarity with CAD software for design and modification of mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
