Duties / Responsibilities: Thermal design and calculations relating to plate heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers and related plant. Cost estimation for heat exchangers and related plant. Preparation of job cost estimates as may be required. Preparation of proposals and tender documentation. Liaison with clients and sales support. Equipment design for detailing and execution of orders. Handover of orders with full details to contracts department. Co-ordination of contract design function, i.e. responsible for the engineering design, drawing and detailing in co-operation with contracts department. Responsibility for ensuring that all documents and drawings are checked and correct for construction approval. Write up of plant operating instructions. On site commissioning assistance. Programming of plate heat exchanger manufacture and workshop co-ordination. Stock control for plate heat exchangers in co-ordination with financial department. Preparation and placement of orders and negotiation with suppliers as required on the basis of most favourable prices and terms for the company. Responsibility for the proper implementation of quality assurance and quality control in works. Shop supervision for quality control and progressing in accordance with program. Site attendance and supervision as may be required. Liaison with approved inspection authorities as may be required. Responsibility for the preparation of project documentation, compilation of vendor manuals, operation and maintenance instructions and equipment data dossiers. Document control as regards the issuing of documents and drawings as well as receipt and handling of any incoming documents and drawings. Ongoing customer liaison, reporting and attendance of meetings when required. Any other related functions related to the selling, design and supply of the company's products.
