Duties and Responsibilities
- This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. A Mechanic at this level will work under the guidance of a senior mechanic. Duties and responsibilities will entail identifying mechanical faults for repair, maintaining cleanliness in the workshop, maintaining job cards for vehicles and equipment, returning used service parts to the store, and interpreting work requisitions and drawings.
Requirement for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in the respective craft; and,
- Certificate in computer application skills.
