MECHANIC / ENGINE BUILDER – CUMMINS ENGINES Location: Boksburg, Gauteng Industry: Generator Industry / Mechanical Engineering Employment Type: Permanent Salary: Market-related Start Date: Urgent ABOUT THE ROLE An opportunity is available for an experienced and skilled Mechanic / Engine Builder with extensive Cummins engine knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing and rebuilding various Cummins engine models, ensuring high standards of quality workmanship and reliability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose mechanical and engine-related faults on various Cummins engine models. Strip, inspect, repair and rebuild diesel engines. Perform engine overhauls and component replacements. Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to identify mechanical problems. Ensure all repairs and rebuilds meet required quality and performance standards. Perform servicing and maintenance when required. Ensure work is completed efficiently and according to technical specifications. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum 15 years' hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Engine Builder. Extensive practical knowledge of Cummins engines. Proven ability to diagnose, repair and rebuild various Cummins engine models. Strong mechanical and engine fault-finding skills. Excellent physical health and fitness. Valid driver's licence. Reliable, responsible and committed to quality workmanship.
