Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies
- Minimum Grade 12
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be computer literate
- Must have communication skills
- Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all the various aggregates.
- Be able to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically
- Able to work as part of a team
- Good leadership skills
- Safety conscious
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Carry out testing of all materials in accordance with SANS 3001.
- Capture results and specifications of material tested.
- Report any deviations of results.
- Ensure that all materials produced on the plant are tested according to the prescribed test methods.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks in the laboratory.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area.
- Carry out other instructions given by your superior.
- Will be responsible for the tasks as described on appointment and as associated with the above position title.
- Acknowledge that Management reserves the right to allocate additional tasks when for wherever reason the task cannot be completed on standard allocated job.
- The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as and when required.
- The successful candidate must also be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, while having the ability to work independently, as well in a team environment.
