We are seeking experienced and technically competent Maintenance Supervisors to support safe, reliable, and efficient upstream oil and gas operations.

The successful candidates will supervise preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, ensuring equipment reliability, safe work execution, effective maintenance planning, and compliance with applicable HSE and operational requirements.

This is an offshore/operational role requiring strong maintenance leadership, sound technical judgment, and proven experience working in upstream oil and gas environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Plan and coordinate daily and weekly maintenance activities, including manpower, materials, permits, isolation, spare parts, and contractor support.
  • Monitor equipment condition and reliability and drive defect elimination and maintenance backlog reduction.
  • Support root-cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
  • Coordinate shutdown, overhaul, commissioning, and equipment reinstatement activities.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are properly planned, executed, documented, and closed out.
  • Ensure CMMS work orders, equipment history, maintenance schedules, and other maintenance records are accurate and up to date.
  • Lead safe maintenance execution in accordance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), risk assessment, and isolation requirements.
  • Supervise, guide, and coach maintenance personnel and coordinate activities with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Escalate equipment defects, operational risks, safety concerns, and maintenance issues appropriately.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 10 - 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry with strong upstream E&P exposure.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in comparable offshore or operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, operational controls, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Relevant engineering or technical/trade certification.
  • BOSIET/HUET and valid offshore medical certification where applicable to offshore deployment.
  • Relevant professional or industry certifications will be an added advantage.

Technical Competencies

Candidates should demonstrate practical and recent experience in:

  • Maintenance supervision and execution.
  • Preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
  • Rotating and static equipment maintenance awareness.
  • Electrical and instrumentation (E&I) maintenance interfaces.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning.
  • Equipment reliability and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Maintenance backlog management and defect elimination.
  • Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), isolation, and safe work practices.
  • Shutdown, overhaul, commissioning, and reinstatement activities.

HSE & Compliance

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Comply with all applicable HSE policies, procedures, Permit-to-Work requirements, risk assessments, isolation/LOTO procedures, and emergency-response arrangements.
  • Lead maintenance activities with a strong focus on safe work execution and personnel protection.
  • Stop or escalate unsafe work practices or conditions.
  • Promptly report incidents, near misses, equipment defects, and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and technical standards.
  • Maintain all required offshore medical, safety, and professional certifications throughout the assignment.

We are looking for experienced maintenance professionals with strong upstream oil and gas exposure, proven supervisory capability, and a strong commitment to safety, equipment reliability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be technically competent, disciplined, safety-focused, and capable of leading maintenance teams effectively in demanding offshore and operational environments.
