Beaches where lifeguards are required:
The following beaches will be covered for the period, and it is the sole decision of the Ndlambe municipality where individual lifeguards are to be placed:

- Port Alfred (East Beach) 05/12/26 - 05/01/27: No of Lifeguards:3 lifeguards
- Bushman's slipway Beach 05/12/26 - 05/01/27: No of Lifeguards:3 lifeguards
- Boknesstrand Beach 05/12/26 - 05/01/27: No of Lifeguards:4 lifeguards
- Fish River Mouth Beach 05/12/26 - 05/01/27: No of Lifeguards:3 lifeguards
Applications are invited from persons who consider themselves suitably qualified for appointment to the above-mentioned position.
Requirements:
Qualification:
- Lifeguard Award (LA) or Surf Proficiency Award (SPA) with a valid and up-to-date retest
- At least three season's experience of lifesaving on a Blue Flag Beach preferably within the Ndlambe area or Eastern Cape for Blue Flag contractual appointments.
- At least one season's experience of lifesaving on a swimming beach preferably within the Ndlambe area or Eastern Cape for seasonal swimming beach lifeguards' contractual appointments.
- Lifeguards residing in the Ndlambe area will be given preference as no accommodation or meals will be provided.
- An official application form with a copy of relevant certificates / re-tests needs to be submitted. Candidates will be contacted after closing date
- Lifeguards need to be in possession of a working cellphone and have airtime loaded whilst on duty
