Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales Trainer to design and deliver effective training programs for Sales Agents.
The Sales Trainer will primarily be responsible for New Hire Training, Refresher Training, Sales Skills Development, and Call Script Training.
The role will focus on equipping Sales Agents with the knowledge, communication skills, sales techniques, and call-handling abilities required to effectively engage customers, handle objections, follow approved call scripts, and improve overall sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct New Hire Training on sales processes, product knowledge, SOPs, Code of Conduct, and field expectations.
Conduct Refresher Training to reinforce knowledge and address identified gaps.
Train Sales Agents on sales skills, including prospecting, pitching, objection handling, follow-up, and closing.
Train Sales Agents on approved call scripts and effective customer communication.
Conduct post-training tests, role-plays, and practical assessments to measure understanding and application.
Identify training and performance gaps and provide targeted coaching and retraining.
Develop and update training materials, call scripts, and assessment questions.
Maintain training records and submit weekly/monthly training reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Education or a related field.
2 - 4 years of experience in Sales, Sales Training, Coaching, or Learning & Development.
Proven experience training and coaching Sales Agents.
Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Good understanding of sales techniques, customer engagement, and call handling.
Experience developing and delivering call scripts and sales training materials is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in Yoruba or Hausa is an added advantage.
