Our subsidiaries operate with a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Laboratory Director Location: Ogudu, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Summary Vethan Concepts Group Limited (VCGL) is seeking an experienced and technically strong Laboratory Director to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for its laboratory services. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality testing services. Ensure compliance with IPAN, ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and applicable regulatory requirements. Manage laboratory quality assurance, quality control, audits, and continuous improvement. Oversee analytical method validation, verification, and implementation. Review and authorize technical reports and laboratory results where required. Develop and enforce laboratory SOPs, policies, and technical procedures. Lead, mentor, and manage laboratory scientists, analysts, and technical staff. Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and laboratory asset management. Ensure laboratory safety, biosafety, and environmental compliance. Provide technical support to Business Development and Client Relationship teams. Manage laboratory resources, procurement planning, budgets, and operational costs. Drive improvements in productivity, turnaround time, service quality, and laboratory capabilities. Represent the laboratory in client meetings, regulatory engagements, professional associations, and industry events. Mandatory Requirement A valid IPAN (Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria) Certificate/Membership is mandatory. Candidates without active IPAN certification/membership will not be considered for this position. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should have strong experience in laboratory management, quality management systems, regulatory compliance, analytical testing, team leadership, and laboratory operations, with proven ability to manage both technical and operational responsibilities.
