Legal Aid & Client Support
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
Conduct client screening and assess legal needs.
Deliver legal aid services to vulnerable clients.
Identify cases suitable for litigation, referral, or intervention.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Follow up on client cases and provide updates. Litigation & Court Representation
Litigation & Court Representation
Manage assigned litigation matters.
Draft pleadings, affidavits, and legal documents.
Attend court and represent clients.
Monitor proceedings and provide updates.
Prepare case reports and maintain records.
Identify matters requiring public interest litigation. Programme Support
Programme Support
Plan and implement programme activities (clinics, forums, trainings).
Support case management and stakeholder liaison.
Contribute to workplans, schedules, and strategies.
Prepare programme reports, proposals, and concept notes.
Participate in programme meetings and working groups. Legal Research & Documentation

Conduct legal research relevant to programme areas.
Prepare legal and programme documents.
Document case studies, success stories, and lessons learned.

Participate in legal aid outreaches and community activities.
Conduct legal awareness and empowerment sessions.
Support training of community paralegals.
Participate in factfinding activities. Stakeholder Engagement

Coordinate with community partners, CSOs, and government agencies.
Represent Kituo in stakeholder meetings.
Maintain effective relationships with programme partners.
Support dissemination of legal information and materials. Other Duties

Qualifications
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree.
Postgraduate Diploma in Law.
Admission as Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Current practicing certificate.
Additional training in human rights or public interest litigation (advantage). Experience
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ postadmission professional experience (NGO, (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});legal aid, or human rights environment preferred).
Demonstrable litigation and legal aid experience.
Experience in programme support, outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
Experience in training paralegals (advantage).
