Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technologists, technicians, interns, clerks, and support personnel.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for procurement, storage, dispensing, and disposal of commodities.
Oversee dispensing processes for pharmaceutical and nonpharmaceutical commodities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety.
Manage inventory and ensure proper storage, stock levels, reorder levels, and compliance with stock management policies.
Monitor and enforce policies to prevent commodity expiry.
Implement risk management policies to protect against losses from destruction, decay, pilferage, or other risks.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for pharmacy operations.
Provide clinical consultations and advice to patients and healthcare providers.
Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally.
Manage duty rota including shifts, leave, and locum duties.
Conduct audits and client satisfaction surveys.
Maintain records of procurement, storage, sales, and disposal transactions.

Ensure continued professional development and mentorship of pharmacy staff.
Monitor performance metrics and financial health of the pharmacy; analyse trends and provide projections.

Requirements for Appointment
Bachelor’s or Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology.
3–10+ years of progressive experience in pharmacy management.
Experience in a private Level 4 Hospital is an added advantage.
Strong analytical thinking and proficiency in Hospital Management Systems.
Crossdepartmental communication skills.
