Key Responsibilities
Draft legal documents and handle cases involving the University in liaison with external lawyers.
Advise on all legal matters affecting the University.
Prepare agreements and contracts for approval by relevant parties.
Gather evidence and facts, and exchange the same with University lawyers.
Attend court and brief University authorities on case developments.
Write reports and memoranda on legal matters.
Ensure adherence to procedures and regulations in employee matters, disciplinary measures, and other issues with legal implications.
Guide and assist in the review and interpretation of University Statutes.
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.
Minimum of three (3) years’ legal practice experience.
Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law.
Valid practising license.
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
