Managing relationships with internal and external ICT stakeholders.
Liaising with user departments and ensuring ICT service delivery.
Advising on the impact of emerging ICT standards, guidelines, policies, rules, and regulations.
Supervising, delegating, and allocating tasks and help desk tickets within a functional area.
Offering mentorship and providing guidance for the ICT team.
Planning, monitoring, and evaluating ICT projects.
Developing a succession plan for ICT positions.
Ensuring optimum utilization and leverage of available ICT resources across the College.
Ensuring adherence and compliance to ICT standards and other regulatory requirements.
Undertaking periodic review of ICT system projects and procedures.
Reviewing and evaluating feasibility studies and detailed specifications.
Overseeing training and deployment of staff in the division.
Developing ICT policies, standards, guidelines, and strategies.
Maintaining and supporting ICT systems.
Overseeing configuration and maintenance of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
Updating and maintaining ICT equipment inventory.
Preparing ICT technical specifications, user manuals, and documentation.
Designing, scheduling, and managing training for users.
Facilitating training for ICT staff to ensure proper skills acquisition and performance of duties.
Appraising staff performance reports in the division.
Overseeing the development of LAN and WAN for the College.
Overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of critical business process applications.
Developing and monitoring annual ICT budget.
Coordinating the acquisition, development, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure.Person SpecificationFor appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Assistant Director ICT or in a comparable position. (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Informatics and Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Security and Forensics, Business Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, or any other ICTrelated discipline from a recognized institution.
ICT certificates from a reputable institution in any of the following: Database Management (Oracle, SQL, DB2 or equivalent), Information Security (CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM or equivalent), Service Support Operations (ITIL, COBIT or equivalent), Network Administration (CCNA, HCNA, N+, HP or equivalent), System Administration (MCSE, Linux, Unix or equivalent), or Software Development (Java, Visual Studio, Python, Oracle, or equivalent).
Certificate in Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Membership of a professional body where applicable.
Valid practicing licence where applicable.
Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competence in work performance and results.
