Our client, a top-tier co-educational group of schools (Nursery, Primary, and Secondary) in Nigeria, is seeking a creative and energetic Junior Media & Social Media Lead to drive its digital presence and online community engagement.
In this role, you will be the visual storyteller for the school capturing daily campus life, showcasing academic and co-curricular achievements, managing digital platforms, and executing campaigns that boost enrollment and strengthen parent and alumni engagement.
- Content Creation & Photography: Plan, capture, and edit high-quality visual content (photos, short-form video/Reels/TikToks, graphics) covering campus events, sports, academic achievements, and daily school life.
- Social Media & Channel Management: Manage day-to-day posts, stories, and updates across all official social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X).
- Digital Communication: Write and design engaging copy for social media, digital newsletters, website updates, and prospective parent announcements.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual assets and messaging align with the school\'s brand identity, values, and prestige.
- Content Calendar: Maintain an active editorial calendar tied to the school's academic term events, admissions cycles, and key educational awareness days.
- Community Engagement: Monitor comments, direct messages, and inquiries, responding professionally or routing to admissions/administration when necessary.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track key social media metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and use insights to optimize future marketing campaigns.
- Collaboration: Partner with school leadership, academic departments, and event coordinators to ensure comprehensive media coverage of school activities.
- Eye for photography, video framing, and clean design suited for a premium brand.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong attention to grammar and tone.
- Ability to interact comfortably with students, staff, parents, and school leadership on campus.
- Solid understanding of modern digital marketing trends, social media algorithms, and content formats.
- Strong organizational skills to manage fast-paced event coverage alongside daily scheduling.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Media, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (experience in education, lifestyle, or youth brands is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with mobile/DSLR photography, video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, InShot), and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
- Familiarity with meta suite tools, basic web analytics, and social scheduling platforms.
