A rapidly growing financial services company is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Accountant to join their finance team, commencing February 2027.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a newly qualified accountant who has completed their SAICA or SAIPA articles and is looking to gain valuable commercial experience while building a long-term career within a growing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting function, from bookkeeping through to Trial Balance, VAT and financial reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
BCom degree in Accounting or a related qualification.
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
Newly qualified accountant or recently completed articles.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Exposure to ERP and accounting systems would be advantageous.
Stock and inventory accounting experience would be beneficial.
Good Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for bookkeeping through to Trial Balance.
Processing and maintaining accurate financial records.
Preparation of monthly reconciliations.
Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
Managing accounts payable and receivable.
Stock accounting and stock reconciliations.
Assisting with month-end procedures.
Working with ERP and financial systems.
General accounting and ad hoc finance responsibilities.
