- This is a foundational, hands-on design role. You will be the first dedicated jewelry designer at ÌTURA, working side by side with the Co-Founder who currently carries product design alongside partnerships, procurement and everything else.
- Your job is to turn what already sells into complete, cohesive collections, and to design the pieces that are missing. That means reading our bestseller data, spotting the gaps (a heart necklace with no matching stud, a collection with no classic base chains), and designing the pieces that fill them, down to the millimeter, in CAD that a supplier can turn into a mold.
- It also means styling. You will build necklace, bracelet, ring and earring stacks from our existing catalogue and your new designs, photograph them with the Co-Founder (you will both be the mannequin at times), and make sure every combination looks right with the ÌTURA wardrobe.
- This is an execution role with real ownership. Nobody will chase you. You will be the one chasing the Co-Founder to get decisions made, samples reviewed and suppliers briefed. We are hiring someone who wants to own the design pipeline, not someone who wants to be handed a brief.
What You'll Own
Original Piece Design and CAD:
- Design new pieces that complement our top 20 to 50 bestsellers, so each bestseller becomes a complete set (necklace, studs, bracelet, ring where it makes sense)
- Produce production-ready CAD files (MatrixGold preferred; Rhino, Blender or equivalent accepted as long as the output is a manufacturable file) with every dimension specified in millimeters
- Design the classic base pieces the collection is missing: bare chains (rolo, paperclip, satellite, curb, Figaro, box, cable), classic studs and huggies that anchor a stack
- Work within our materials system: 316L stainless steel, sterling silver and 18k gold vermeil, moissanite and lab stones, gemstones and freshwater pearls
Supplier Spec Sheets and Sample Review:
- Write the technical spec sheet for every new design: dimensions, metal, plating thickness, stone type and cut, findings, finish, tolerances, target unit cost and MOQ
- Brief our existing suppliers (all of whom do customization), get mold fee, unit cost and lead-time quotes, and compare them
- Review samples against the spec, log defects and drive corrections until the piece is right
Collection Cohesiveness and Stacks:
- Build and document necklace, bracelet, ring and earring stacks from existing pieces and new designs, with layer lengths and sizing so they can be reproduced for photography and for customers
- Build full combinations (necklace stack plus bracelet stack plus earring stack plus ring stack) that work with the ÌTURA wardrobe and stylescape
- Own the men's stack: define what the ÌTURA man wears and which pieces are missing
Collection Planning and Trend Research:
- Maintain the design pipeline in Notion: what is being designed, why (which bestseller it serves), where it is with suppliers, and what it will cost
- Track competitor collections and the stacking trends our customers are already following, and translate them into pieces that fit ÌTURA
- Recommend what to design next, backed by what is selling
- Every top-20 bestseller has a designed set around it, with CAD, spec sheets and supplier quotes
- The collection has the classic base chains and studs it is missing today, in production
- Necklace, bracelet, ring and earring stacks are documented and photographed, and customers can buy a stack that works
- The men's collection has a clear stacking logic and the pieces to support it
- The Co-Founder is reviewing your designs and approving suppliers, not drawing or chasing
- Suppliers receive spec sheets they can manufacture from without a second round of questions
- You will report directly to Kanma, Co-Founder, and work alongside her every day.
You will work closely with:
- Paul, Co-Founder (marketing, ads, website, best-seller data)
- Procurement and Inventory (purchase orders, supplier relationships, stock)
- Head of Content and the content team (product photography, styling content, launch assets)
- You are a jewelry designer who loves the technical side as much as the creative side, and who has taken a design from sketch to CAD to sample to production before.
You are likely someone who:
- Has designed jewelry professionally and can show CAD work with real dimensions
- Understands how a piece is actually made: casting, stone setting, plating, chain construction, findings
- Thinks in sets and stacks, not single pieces
- Reads sales data and lets it shape what you design, rather than designing what you personally like
- Chases decisions and answers rather than waiting for them
- Is comfortable being on camera, styling pieces on yourself and others, and shooting product with a phone
- Is organized enough to run a design pipeline in Notion without being asked
- Cares about materials being what we say they are
What We're Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A jewelry-specific background: jewelry design, goldsmithing, product design for jewelry, or design work inside a jewelry brand or manufacturer
- A portfolio with clear CAD designs (MatrixGold, Rhino, RhinoGold, Blender, ZBrush, or similar) that were produced or that show production-ready dimensioning
- Experience taking a design through the full process: CAD, spec sheet, supplier brief, sample review, production
- Working knowledge of stainless steel, sterling silver, vermeil, plating and lab stones
- Experience building or styling jewelry stacks and sets
- Comfort using Notion, Figma, or similar tools, or the ability to learn them fast
- Experience working with Chinese jewelry manufacturers is a strong advantage
- Years of experience matter less to us than the quality of the work and your ownership of it
This Role Is Not For You If:
- You can sketch beautifully but cannot produce a manufacturable CAD file with dimensions
- You design from taste alone and are not interested in what is actually selling
- You need a brief and a deadline from someone else to start work
- You wait to be followed up with rather than following up yourself
- You are not comfortable being in the studio, styling pieces on yourself, and shooting them
- You treat spec sheets and supplier back-and-forth as someone else's job
- You want to design a collection from scratch rather than build around what already works
