Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement xPON / FTTx network capacity plans and forecasts.
Design and engineer xPON / FTTx access network solutions, including technical designs, specifications, BoQs and documentation.
Collaborate with Systems and OSS / BSS teams to integrate OLTs, BNG / BRAS and ACS platforms.
Develop and maintain xPON / FTTx technology roadmap, managing lifecycles, upgrades and migrations.
Plan OLT uplink capacity and coordinate readiness with IP, Transmission and Operations teams.
Provide technical support during deployment, commissioning, integration, migration and acceptance testing.
Monitor, analyze and optimize network performance, utilization, availability and service quality.
Investigate and resolve performance, capacity, interoperability and service issues.
Plan and evaluate PoCs, technology trials and new solutions.
Conduct field visits to validate performance and infrastructure quality.
Participate in 24/7 Planning & Engineering (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});oncall roster and provide technical leadership during incidents.
Prepare engineering reports and documentation.Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
Fiber Optic Network Design Certification.
Project Management certification (advantageous).
CCNA / CCNP.
Minimum 3–5 years’ handson experience designing and supporting xPON / FTTx networks.
Experience with OLT / ONT platforms, access network technologies and broadband service delivery.
