ROLE OVERVIEW

  • The role of the IT Auditor is critical for conducting independent audits of the organization's information systems, applications, infrastructure, and technology processes.
  • The role involves assessing IT controls, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements/standards, and recommending improvements to strengthen information security, operational efficiency, and business continuity.

Job Description

  • Plan and execute IT audits in accordance with approved audit plans and professional standards.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness Of IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Evaluate compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Review system development, change management, data management, access controls, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Identify technology-related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support investigations into IT incidents where required.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations for management action.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to promote a strong control environment.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements

  • HND/B.Sc/B.Eng. in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related fields.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in IT Audit, Information Security, Risk Management, or related functions.

Competency

  • Knowledge Of ERP systems, databases, network security, cloud technologies, and business applications
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Understanding of power distribution operations and energy flow.
  • Proficiency in audit tools, Microsoft Office, and data analytics.
