A well-established chemical company requires the above to manage key accounts with large manufacturing companies, supporting the external key accounts managers within the company and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.Minimum requirements for the role:
Must have a matric or equivalent.
Previous experience working in an internal sales or customer services administration role is preferred for the role.
The company is happy to consider a graduate with no work experience for the role as they are happy to train the person in a sales role.
Previous experience having worked for a chemical raw material company that distributes products to manufacturers is preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
Must be service-oriented and have commercial drive.
Good planning and execution skills.
Must have good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
Supporting the External Key Account Managers by managing industrial Manufacturing Key Accounts.
Quoting prospective customers across all product ranges and providing product information where needed.
Receiving and processing orders to ensure delivery and collection expectations for house account customers are met.
Maintaining backorders/open and forward orders on a daily basis.
Monitoring stock levels to meet customers’ needs.
Assisting with quotes and monthly pricing when needed.
Following up with customers with regard to previous days' deliveries to ensure customer service and on-time, in-full deliveries.
Communicating with customers with regard to order status, stock availability, pricing etc.
Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries.
Ensuring external sales are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts.
