Intermediate To Senior Software Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for an Intermediate to Senior C# Developer to contribute to innovative technology solutions within the banking and insurance industry. Your skills and expertise: 6+ years of software engineering, with production software designed and delivered at scale.Strong foundation in software engineering and expert proficiency in C# or Java (either is preferred), or a similar statically typed language. A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field is a plus; demonstrable expertise matters most.Deep understanding of design patterns and architectural principles, and the ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code.REST API design and build with ASP.NET Core / Web API or Spring Boot.Strong Python and solid web framework experience.Relational database experience (SQL Server, Azure SQL, AWS RDS or Postgres), Entity Framework, and sound data modelling.DevOps fluency: CI/CD tooling to streamline build and delivery, plus infrastructure as code, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS or AKS) and microservices architecture.Proven hands-on experience building distributed systems on AWS or Azure (GCP also valued). Cloud is central to how we build, and we expect Senior engineers to be strong in it.Full-stack exposure: front-end and back-end development.Reference number for this position is MAT61567 which is a permanent position based in Sandton offering a cost to company salary of up to R1.2m negotiable on experience and ability.
